This is the time of the digital revolution.  Rather than being an add-on,
computer technology will be integrated into the classrooms, with computer-assisted learning included where effective.  All students will have opportunities to become aware of the availability of and utilize various types of current and newly emerging technology throughout the curriculum, including video, audio media and computer software. Audio-video equipment will be available for each classroom, while computers will be available in the
classrooms; and K through 5 grades will have computer lab instruction.

YSCP will use cutting edge technology in its unique educational program. At YSCP Charter School , technology is a key aspect of the curriculum. We want all of our students to not only be comfortable with technology, but to embrace it as an enhancement to their everyday lives.

To support this effort, we utilize a mobile Tablet PC lab that will be available to all of our students. Teachers can bring the laptops into the classroom to support the lessons they are teaching.

YSCP Technology Center aims that all Staff of Young Scholars of Central PA Charter School should be proficient in using any technology equipment that belongs to the school. We recognize that our faculty and staff are going to be at varying levels and of varying abilities and interest in the use of technology.

Technology education experiences in YSCPCS are designed to help our students learn and achieve the educational goals of the total elementary school program. These experiences orient pupils to technology, develop psychomotor skill, and provide the basis for informed attitudes about technology's influence on society. Technology-based activities, integrated into the total elementary school curriculum, motivate pupils and reinforce learning while pupils gain a technological awareness.

Technology Center supports the Global Citizen mission of Young Scholars. Because technology continues to play an important role in modern industrial society, integrating technology into YSCPCS will help prepare our students to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
